Resilience Finance Lab Launch (Invitation Only)

Please join us for the launch of the University of Miami's Resilience Finance Lab! Developed by the University of Miami Climate Resilience Institute in partnership with the Knight Foundation and with input from JPMorganChase, the Lab will bring together leaders from academia, government, philanthropy, finance, and the private sector to advance innovative solutions for financing resilience.

A light breakfast and coffee will be served.

​The launch will introduce the vision and goals of the Resilience Finance Lab, demonstrate its potential to accelerate resilience solutions, and engage participants in an interactive session to identify opportunities for collaboration and lasting impact.

Gowanus Canal Walking Tour

September 23, 2026

Tom Klein, at the University of Miami Center for Urban and Community Design, and Jen Posner, Director at the University of Miami Climate Resilience Institute, will join urban planners, designers, and community stakeholders to lead a walking tour of the Gowanus Canal, a formerly polluted industrial channel that has been transformed in the last decade by land use changes encouraging mixed use development and a publicly accessible waterfront esplanade.
